The workshops are all in and are very exciting!
Can we talk about the Change of Life? Presented by Ardeith of Dragonwood
Can we mention "menopause" in mixed company?
I think we should because some 38 million women will be making that Change in the next few years.
Let's talk about what you can expect during this time, and how you can cope with it.
Why should men be interested in this? Because you either live with women, work with women, or are the sons and brothers of women; and because those women are going to go through changes that will have an impact on your lives. Whether you like it or not. Let's talk about how women (and men) can survive the Change of Life, and keep your marriages and relationships intact.
Priestess of Dragonwood Circle, companion of Fred Wood, mother of four human beings, grandmother of six people we hope will become good examples of human beings, and a post-menopausal Crone. Been there . . . done that . . . and survived. Fred survived, too.
Broom Closet Blues Presented by Scarlett Ross
How big is your closet? How small is your pentacle? Do these things really matter? This discussion will examine the pros, cons and confounding issues of being openly Pagan in a non-secular world. Coming out (or not) of the Pagan religious closet is a difficult, slippery, and very personal decision. I will work with groups on their fears, joys and experiences related to the reality of living a private spirituality in the public world of work and family. Once the decision has been made to remain in the closet or step outside (or something in-between), we will examine the practicalities of this decision in day-to-day living.
A Primer in Prophecy and Prediction - a hands-on production Presented by Scarlett Ross
An introduction to some of the oldest and weirdest known forms of divining the future including famous faces like Nostradamus. We'll explore the reasons behind Nostradamus's need to prophecy, reasons why you should (and should not) peek into the future. This workshop will also include instructions and materials to create your own personal runes. Future not included.
A Facelift for the Goddess Presented by Scarlett Ross
Thousands of years have brought the beloved Goddess to us. She has taught us, comforted us, inspired and challenged us - but she's gotten a little dusty. Bring paper and pen, bring a heart that isn't afraid to look into the mirror and see something unexpected. Goddesses from around the world will lend their energy as we forge a new form for the millennial Goddess and touch the new and improved face of the Divine. (This works for the God as well!)
The Day the Gods Descended or Rockin' Rituals Presented by Scarlett Ross
Beginning with the story of rituals that have succeeded, we'll unravel the mystery of the circles that move and change us and the ones that leave us with sore feet and strange trinkets to take home. Included will be some basic ritual function to keep in mind, tips on symbolism, and a beginner's guide to telling the sacred stories that are a part of our culture.
Scarlett Ross is a metaphysical writer and English teacher who has spent more than 18 years researching and lecturing on the New Age movement, alternative religions, divination, prophecy, symbols, dreams, and language. Recent titles include "Nostradamus for Dummies"(available in May) and Dreams of the Goddess. When not writing, dreaming of writing, or working on workshops Scarlett scrapbooks, cooks, organizes festivals on small and large scales and keeps up with her family of men.

How we can all play together and make music. One happy circle, one happy phamily. This workshop covers the many aspects of group drumming for revels and ritual.
DrumTrybe Council: Community and the Spirit of the Drum Presented by Cephlian
For thousands of years in many different cultures, Drum Council has served Community. Cephlian will tempt the Drummers as Keepers of the West, entice Fire Dancers and Chanters from the custodians of the South, lure the Fire Tenders from the churning winds of the East, and extend welcome hands to the Guardians of the North to receive Community and offer a warm invitation to all to sit in council. Discover the meaning and philosophy of the innate concepts of DrumTrybe as we discus the ethics, integrity and responsibility, of the Community Fire Circle and how it is transformed into a Sacred Phyre Circle. Bring something to sit on, your drums, a clear head, plenty to drink and all of your ideas, opinions and stories as they shine towards the community. This will not be a workshop on beats or rhythms but a council of the heart in regards to our Sacred Fire Circle. Council will conclude with a ceremony honoring the awakening, naming or birthing of any new or young drums amidst a chorus of percussion.
Developing Your Intuition: The Great Junk Augury Presented by Maya Heath
This is a fun class about telling fortunes with just about anything that comes to hand. It’s also about the process of developing your own tools for divination and how that can stimulate the intuitive process. There are elements that are basically the same across most of the divination systems of the world and once you get past that facade there are some basic elements that are common to all of them. When you look at the way they are put together its a lot easier to find where your own intuitive gifts interface, and how to amplify ! that process. I also bring show-and-tell toys with this one so we can all sit on the floor and play with the stuff.
Elements of Divination Presented by Maya Heath
A look at the moving principles behind Runes, Cards, coins and many other divination systems and how you can use them to expand your own intuitive process. By the author of The Egyptian Oracle
