Dana Davis Wyrdgrl is a rich tapestry of tales between myth and perception woven by singer-songwriter Dana Davis.
From the reflection of Medusa to the smoke-filled stage of Walter’s Birds, Dana portrays a truth that is double-edged with soulful sincerity and sardonic wit. Take an exceptional female voice, blend it with Beatle flavors, Nilssonesque melodiousness, add a spoonful of Kate Bush and a smattering of Heart, stir with a twisted perception and you will taste Wyrd...grl. Dreamtrybe Dreamtrybe is a songwriting collaboration between Lynda Millard and Ginger Doss that takes on many forms. With trybal percussion, intricate vocal harmonies and a rock edge, the full band sound makes for a powerhouse of melody and rhythm.
On the softer acoustic side, they can take the listener through a dynamic and emotional range of music. Based in Austin, Texas, their high energy performances invite audience participation and crowds are moved to dance spirals, play drums or howl out loud. It is an experience that lingers well in body, mind and spirit. Added on: 29-Oct-2001 | hits: 5387 | Rating: 10.00 (1 Vote) Report broken link | Details
Emerald Rose Emerald Rose as a musical group came together sometime in 1996, with their first “official” performance on St. Patrick’s Day 1997. They were friends first, working together on projects that varied from landscaping and stonemasonry to the study of ancient religions. At night, they would play Magic:The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, or other such creative pastimes, and gradually they found a synergy in our musical interests. Though their styles and backgrounds were diverse, they all shared a love for our ancestors’ Celtic traditions, and a desire to see this musical heritage grow, thrive and evolve.
Emerald Rose is many things, a blend of musical style that’s evolving in ways even we can’t always anticipate. From Celtic tradition, to modern ballad, to folk, pop, rock & roll and even zany chicken songs...who know’s what’s coming next? We all just hope it continues to be as entertaining to you as it is to us! Added on: 11-Jul-2002 | hits: 5360 Report broken link

SilverBranch Established in 1997, SilverBranch is a Celtic folk music group based out of Fort Myers, Florida. We started out as a group of friends who enjoyed getting together to sing traditional folk music of the British Isles.
Over the last couple of years we have written, arranged and have now completed the recording of our own original music.
In Celtic traditions the Silver Branch, taken from the apple tree, was the emblem of the Bard. It was said to produce a magical music that was so entrancing that it removed all cares and worries from the listener. This album is our invitation to a bardic circle, a warm and safe place around the bonfire in which to share the ancient lore, inspired by tales of heroism, romance and wonder.
With imagery drawn from the myths and legends of ancient Wales and Ireland, these arrangements blend vocal, guitar, psaltery, recorder, harp and drums into a dreamscape evoking mist shrouded memories of an age long past. As we enter
this circle, we reach our hands back to that past, and extend them forward to the future, offering these songs, chants and rounds to all who feel the spirit of the Celts calling to their hearts and souls.
