some people would feel the same way. but, then again, if children didn't
like being on a stage would there be so many plays at schools? also,
wouldn't it be great if they did do something on a stage in front of a
community that would appreciate anything they did. nothing like doing
something in front of your family. this would help build self confidence in
public speaking. seems like that in it self would be a good thing. yes, we
do trust teachers to teach but i believe standing on a stage of sorts would
be a show of pride.
just an opinion,
walk in peace,

All the adults wear armbands. We are all tagged as we enter the gate at registration. Why not the kids too? If it helps someone find me in an emergency situation...Go for it

My daughter Shelby (squirrel) had a wonderful time being a Jr. Guardian (thank you GlenDower). I think it would be awesome if we could teach actual first aide to the kids. Also, the kids might enjoy nature walks to learn edible and non-edible plants also what's poisonous and not poisonous as far as plants and animals. We actually found a brown recluse spider in our tent this past gathering. Most kids would not know that it was dangerous but my husband and I have taken great measures to teach our girls things like this. We could also teach things like how to set up a tent. How to cook over an open fire (with a parent present of course). I would be very interested in helping with things such as this. If any of this sounds good let me know and I will do what is needed to help.

Best memories of autumn meet..There are so many. One that will always stand out is seeing Mino hop across the circle saying...Whoohoohoohoo.
Love ya Mino.

Please let the community know that things seem to be worse than we thought for Araia (Lori Crumrine, aka "The Squirrel Lady" at PhoenixPhyre). It seems that she has invasive breast cancer and is facing double-mascetomy and chemo. I am asking that people send whatever magick and/or positive thoughts they can spare her way. Anyone wishing to Email her with support, contact her at Lorimike@ij.net. Please forward this letter and/or post it on the festival website.
Blessings, Cheyuk

Blessings to phoenixfestivals@egroups.com (phoenixfestivals@egroups.com)! on 11/21/00 10:48 AM you were quoted as saying:
>Since everyone wears one, why not give the younger ones a different color?
>
>Kehayke
That was part of the Idea, there are several color/pattern codes for the armbands: Staff, Event, Weekend, Daypass, Camera... we just wanted a way to fix a concern the least obtrusively. This was one Idea. Many Blessings, Wade

Hey Glyndower,
I wish you strength in this pursuit, I trust we will find a way to help keep everyone safe. I do believe that it is very inportant to identafy family groups IE minors and there parents. I also belive that in case of an life threatining emergancey we all would search for parents even if we had to scream it out loud.
I do know that when my father died, I was found right away and handed a cell phone. I was allso playing a drum. I chose to finish the gathering before dealing with this isue. I have always gotten encredible support from the Community in these last few years. Thank You. If I can be of any service please call on me
